Alicante airport sees more than 1 million travellers

During the month of September more than 1 million passengers passed through Alicante Airport representing an increase of 2.5% compared to September 2014.

According to the Spanish airport authority (AENA) the airport showed a considerable growth in the domestic travel of 21.1% reaching 103,793 passengers.

Of the international trade the UK provided the highest number of passengers using the airport with 474,707 travelling on the 2,906 British Airways flights followed by Germany with 83,449 passengers on 485 flights.

From January to September Alicante Airport has seen almost 8 million passengers which is a 4.9% increase on the figures from the same period last year.
